Matt Orr
As Executive Director, Mr. Orr has helped build the foundation for Music Over Mind and oversees the continued growth of the organization. He is Director of Business Development for a small clinical research organization based in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Orr earned his Master’s of Business Administration in entrepreneurship from the Hochschule Bremen in Bremen, Germany and the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Orr also his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, NC.
jon binanay
Mr. Binanay works in Pharmaceuticals as a Specialty Sales Representative. In his spare time, he records his own acoustic music and occasionally plays local gigs. He graduated from Saint Vincent College and holds a degree in Sociology and Communications. He played Division II lacrosse for the Bearcats. Mr. Binanay and his wife have three wonderful children and reside in Pittsboro, NC.
Daryl fothergill
Mr. Fothergill is a Networking Consultant with Cisco Systems supporting customers within the Global Government Solutions Group. Mr. Fothergill is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and North Carolina State University College of Engineering. He and his wife Cara live in Raleigh, NC with their wonderful son Jack.
Danny merlin
Mr. Merlin grew up in Raleigh, NC and now lives in Charlotte. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Merlin practices corporate and commercial real estate law at Johnston, Allison & Hord, PA and is actively involved in his community. He is immediate past chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar Young Lawyers Division, current Co-Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s 4ALL Service Day Committee, and sits on the Board of the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation. Music has played an influential part in his life: his father is a part-time jazz and rock musician (bass), his sister is a full-time music therapist (guitar and vocals), and he was part of one of the best North Raleigh garage bands of the 90s–Tomorrow’s Missing Link. Mr. Merlin is a strong believer in the therapeutic benefits of music, and is proud to be a part of M.O.M.
Danielle larson
Mrs. Larson is from Raleigh, NC. She has an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. Mrs. Larson currently works as a Pediatric Physical Therapist for the Wake County Public School System. She is also the JV Cheerleading coach at Cardinal Gibbons High School. Mrs. Larson is very active both in her church and in the community. She volunteers for many local events, including Special Olympics and the Senior Games. She currently resides in Cary, NC with her husband Ben.
joe bennett
Joe grew up in the Triangle area and is now an entrepreneur based in Raleigh, NC. He has business experience in real estate, international shipping and software consulting. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his spare time he enjoys reading and working out. He believes strongly in the mission of Music Over Mind. He hopes that many people are helped through the organization.
